What to say to someone who's sick... →
At this point in my life, I haven’t dealt with a lot of ill friends or family members. So when my Grandpa got sick earlier this year, I found myself in an awkward position. What do I say when I visit? This article gives some good advice for people who are new to dealing with sick loved ones.

Chicago's Race for the Cure →
I’m participating in Chicago’s Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure event this Saturday. My company has assembled a team to show our support and raise money for a good cause. I am participating in the untimed 5K walk, and would really appreciate your donation. I have set a goal to raise $125, and am currently at $15. Every little bit helps!

Back on the wagon
After taking a two to three week break (I blame work, illness and general laziness) I’ve started running again. I’m having a little trouble with my running app, so you’ll have to bear with me for the moment. Until I figure it out, here are some stats from my run. Run Stats: 33 minute run 2.31 miles 14.35 minutes/mile

I wasn’t in the mood to run after work today, but luckily Glenn decided he wasn’t going to let me off the hook. We went almost two miles and improved our pace. Run Stats: 25 minute run 1.81 miles 13.54 minutes/mile 236 calories burned

Running...
Thanks to Glenn I’m actually doing it. I’m running. I know, there’s something wrong with me. We’re doing interval training (run 2 minutes, walk 2 minutes). That’s the only way I would make it 1.5 miles, and still be a tolerable person to be around. Here’s the map of our run/walk today. Run Stats: 20 minute run 1.42 miles 14:07 minutes/mile 201 calories...

Random thoughts from my generation
This e-mail has been going around for awhile, but I find it so amusing I decided to share. Here are some random thoughts from 20 and 30-somethings. Ok, mostly 20-somethings. -I wish Google Maps had an “Avoid Ghetto” routing option. -More often than not, when someone is telling me a story all I can think about is that I can’t wait for them to finish so that I can tell my own...

Keep Your Goddamn Government Hands Off My... →
Those who know me may be a little taken aback by the title of this post. A friend of mine shared this article with me, and it is so good I had to pay it forward. The gist of the post is that “old people” and Republicans alike who are so found of Medicare should lay-off Obama’s efforts to improve healthcare for all of us.
